Trail Boss:   Dennis Klein (Cheryl)

Straw Boss: Mike Mullin (Katie)

Secretary/Treasurer:  Roy Drake (Suzie)

Organized in 1977, the Horse Corps, our unit now consists of 20 members, featuring a Belgium horse hitch, a Percheron horse hitch, a mule hitch and out-riders.

Our official uniform is a leather vest over a tan western shirt, blue jeans and a white cowboy hats except for officially sanctioned Shrine parades when we proudly wear our FEZ.

All Shriners are welcome whether you have a horse or not. The Unit participates in all El Riad Ceremonials, making several appearances throughout the area during the year.  This past year we participated in 8 parades throughout the upper Midwest. At the 2008 Shrine Imperial in St Louis where two of our three hitches participated, we won two first place and two second place trophies for the hitch and parade competitions.  This followed the 2007 Shrine Imperial competition in Anaheim where our Unit placed first in the hitch and parade competition.  Aberdeen hosted the 2008 MSA we again placed first in hitch competition and first in parade competition.

In 2009, we attended the Imperial in San Antonio, TX and the MSA in Rochester, MN to defend our hitch and parade titles as well as participate in other area parades. Monthly meetings are at the Temple the last Saturday of each month at 10:00 am.

We are the sweetest bunch of Shriners in the Temple as our unit makes all the cotton candy for the El Riad Shrine Circus 9 performances.  For more information about this sweet unit, contact any member or one of the Unit Officers above.
