At the conclusion of this Spinal
Cord Injury presentation, the
participant should be able to:

* Have a basic understanding of
Spinal Cord Injuries.

* Describe how a Spinal Cord Injury changes normal bodily
functions and activities of daily
living.

* Name three important things
 taught to patients and families
during rehabilitation.

* Develop an understanding of Spinal Cord Injury rehabilitation,
goal setting, and the team
approach to Spinal Cord Injury
treatment.







At the conclusion of this Cleft Lip
and Palate presentation, the
participant should be able to:

* Have a basic understanding of
the surgical needs of children and
youth that are born with clefts and
other craniofacial conditions.

*Explain why children with clefts
may need speech surgery and
orthodontic care.

* Have a basic understanding of
the psychosocial needs of
children and youth with clefts and
craniofacial conditions.

* Understand the medical and
psychosocial needs of young
adults with clefts & craniofacial
conditions as they transition to
adulthood.

* Explain what Team care is and
why it is a "best practices" model
of care.

At the conclusion of this
Orthopaedic presentation, the
participant should be able to:

*Design leg length discrepancy

* Identify treatment interventions
for leg length discrepancy

* Have a basic understanding of
the purpose and process of
external fixation and the Van Ness
procedure.
